PDO Threads

A PDO Thread Lift is a cosmetic facial rejuvenation procedure using FDA-approved polydioxanone (PDO) threads. They have been safely used in surgery for decades to lift, tighten, firm and smooth skin.

PDO threads work by stimulating collagen production, enabling your skin care professional to reposition sagging skin into a more youthful contour. The results are immediate. They also improve over time, and they can last for years with no scars.

During the procedure, a preloaded needle is inserted into the skin on the face or body. The injector leaves the thread beneath the skin as the needle is removed. Your skin responds to the threads by beginning a repair process around the suture. Threads can be precisely placed to stimulate collagen in areas of volume loss, fill folds or tighten the skin (such as on the neck or brows). Over the next four to six months, your skin fully absorbs the threads without leaving any scar tissue. As the threads dissolve, your body replaces them with collagen. This results in effects that typically last about a year and sometimes up to two years.
